PURPOSE: To easily and rapidly form an index label by incorporating a printer for printing a desired image projected on a television on a label in a body.

CONSTITUTION: A cassette insertion/removal port 2 for inserting/removing a video tape cassette is formed at the left side of the front face of a box-shaped body 1, and a label discharge port 3 for discharging a label printed by a printer in the body 1 is formed at the right side. A print switch 4 for printing the label is disposed on the front face above the port 3, and a cutter 5 for cutting to remove the label is attached to the upper edge of the port 3. When the switch 4 is closed, the image projected on the screen of a television at the moment is stored in the memory of a computer in the body 1 as it is, and image information stored in the memory is printed on a label 14 at a predetermined timing. A user sticks the printed label 14 to the back of the video tape cassette in which recording is finished.
