PURPOSE: To execute automatically and exactly the correction of X value of a special reproducing time by a simple means by referring to a delay time of a delaying circuit in case an optimum tracking of a reproducing head is obtained, and controlling the delay time of the delaying circuit so that the optimum tracking is obtained in accordance with the variation of a running speed by the instruction of a speed instructing part.

CONSTITUTION: A delaying circuit 31 obtains a delay time being proportional to the time constant of a CR circuit connected to a terminal 41 and 42, and obtains an optimum tracking in a regular speed by varying a variable resistance R and varying the delay time of the delaying circuit 31. Capacitors C1, C2 and C3 are set so that a ratio of the respective capacity values go to 1/6:1/3:1/2, and a switch 43 and 44 are closed at the time of a regular speed by a delay time control means 30. At the time of a speed of two times, the delay time control means 30 closes the switch 44, opens the switch 43, and halves the delay time of the delaying circuit 31. At the time of a speed of three times, the delay time control means 30 opens the switch 44 and 43, and divides the delay time of the delaying circuit 31 into three parts.
