The video terminal 6 is a VCR with, e.g. a video recording reservation function and other functions and installed in a user's house or the like. The video terminal 6 is connected to a video recording reservation device 7 via a public telephone network 5. The video terminal 6 reserves recording of a program, designated by a mobile terminal 1 on the basis of video recording reservation video information generated by the video recording reservation device 7 and supplied from the video recording reservation device 7, in response to the reception of the video recording reservation program information sent from the mobile terminal 1. This invention is applicable to a VCR for reserving video recording of programs.
