Abstract:
PURPOSE:To contrive to prevent reduction in display information quantity of alphanumeric letters and KANA (Japanese syllabary) by providing a discrimination section discriminating whether or not an input data is a KANJI (Chinese character) data, a display control section setting the parameter of the character size for screen display variably depending on KANJI and other characters and a display device section displaying visually the data from the display control section. CONSTITUTION:The 1st data input section 3, while applying buffering to a sent data, outputs the result to a decoding section 4. A display control section 5 sets parameters such as color or size to display the character or the like on the screen based on the result of analysis by the decoding section 4 and gives an output to the display device section 6. On the other hand, the character data inputted from the input device section 7 is fed to the display control section 5 and the discrimination section 9. The discrimination section 9 checks whether or not a KANJI indication code exists in the 2nd data input section 8 and outputs the information representing the presence of KANJI data to the display control section 5 when the code exists. The display control section 5 reads a character font from a KANJI ROM and sets the parameter differently depending on the KANJI and other characters from the display character size and sends the result to the display device section 6 at the post-stage.
