To obtain a viewer information measuring instrument which is installed in a public place or the like and measures information relating to viewers of display viewed in a small scale and a wide range by many and unspecific persons, without troubling the viewers.
The viewer information measuring instrument includes a display control device 101 for controlling content display to a display device 102, a camera 103 for imaging a scene opposed to a screen of the display device 102, a viewer data generation for 104 for extracting viewers viewing the display device 102 from the scene imaged by the camera 103 and generating image data of the viewers, and a viewer measurement part 105 for measuring the number of viewers viewing the content displayed on the display device 102 on the basis of the image data generated by the viewer data generation part 104.
