Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that costs are increased and realizable functions are limited when a high-grade information processing function for Internet connections or the like is installed in a conventional viewing apparatus such as a television receiver.
SOLUTION: A viewing apparatus 1 is configured by having a display part 12 for displaying video, an infrared light receiving part 5 for receiving a control signal from a remote controller 2, a CPU 6 for outputting a command corresponding to the control signal, an EEPROM 8, a USB interface circuit 9, and an input interface circuit 10 for inputting a video signal or the like. A key code string in which key codes corresponding to individual keys to be successively pressed when inputting a command defining an external equipment 3 such as a personal computer as a target to be operated by using a keyboard corresponding to a USB bus are sequentially arranged is stored in the EEPROM 8 for each relevant command.
