Abstract:

To provide a film for agriculture, having excellent tear strength and excellent properties (strength and impact resistance) at low temperature.

The vinyl chloride-based resin film for the agriculture is obtained by compounding 40-60 pts. wt. plasticizer with 100 pts. wt. vinyl chloride-based resin having 1,400-2,000 average degree of polymerization and satisfying the relation of the formula: 2.3<Mw/Mn≤5.0 between a weight average molecular weight (Mw) and a number average molecular weight (Mn). The film formed so as to have 0.1 mm thickness has (a) ≥0.5 J impact strength at-15°C, (b) ≥7.5 N Elmendorf tear strength at 23°C, (c) ≥300% tensile elongation at break and (d) ≥85% straight light transmittance (at 555 nm) after production of the film.
