Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve adhesion to a butyl rubber self-adhesive by compounding a vinyl chloride resin with specified amts. of an alkyl biphenyltetracarboxylate and SiO2 or MgO. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin is compounded with 30-300 pts.wt. alkyl biphenyltetracarboxylate and 0.5-10 pts.wt. SiO2 or MgO to give a vinyl chloride resin compsn., which is molded into an article causing little bleeding and little plasticizer migration to a butyl rubber self-adhesive tape and having excellent adhesion when bonded with the self-adhesive. Hence, the compsn. is suitably used for making various automobile trimming parts such as a molding.
