Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition capable of thickening and dispersing inorganic particles and enhancing wet resistance of a dried coated film combined with the inorganic particles.SOLUTION: Wet resistance can be enhanced by thickening and dispersing inorganic particles by combining a silicon-containing vinyl polymer particle and carboxymethyl group-containing cellulose ether or a salt thereof. The silicon-containing vinyl polymer particle may be a particle emulsified by adding water to a silicone-containing vinyl polymer having an anionic group solution-polymerized in presence of an organic solvent. The silicon-containing vinyl polymer particle may have further a cationic group. Volume average particle diameter (D50) of the silicon-containing vinyl polymer particle is about 10 to 2000 nm. The silicon-containing vinyl polymer particle may be a particle formed by a copolymer of a (meth)acrylic monomer having a carboxyl group, a (meth)acrylic monomer having a hydrolysis condensed silyl group, a (meth)acrylic monomer having a substituted amino group and a (meth)acrylic monomer having an alkyl group.SELECTED DRAWING: None
