Abstract:
The bowling lane is extended using an additional lane located in the same plane. A film projector or similar device is used to project an image onto a cloth provided in the region in front of the skittles, so that moving images of the ball and skittles can be shown. Sensors positioned along the bowling lane are used to determine the ball strike direction, speed and momentum. A computer connected to the projector and sensors calculates the estimated ball trajectory and projects a realistic image of the skittles being struck by the ball.
