To efficiently remove viruses and to enable use in an ordinary residence space by using at least one of a Streptococcus agalactiae II type strain and a II type sugar chain as a virus capturing body.
At least one of a Streptococcus agalactiae II type strain and a II type sugar chain is used as the virus capturing body of a filter after it is impregnated into or kneaded with a substrate, covalently bonded to a material or incorporated into a styrene or acrylamide monomer, which is then (co) polymerized. The resultant virus removing filter can efficiently remove viruses such as influenza viruses. Since the strain and sugar chain are materials contained in human cells and are harmless, the filter can stably be used in an ordinary residence space.
