Abstract:

To provide a viscoelasticity measuring apparatus and a viscoelasticity measurement method for detecting a stress of a sample, by giving vibration having a specified waveform to the sample to be measured utilizing an ultra magnetostriction element, and for calculating the index value regarding the viscoelasticity of the sample.

The viscoelasticity measuring apparatus comprises: the ultra magnetostrictive element 100; a sample-retaining section 102 and a sample-retaining section 103 that are arranged so that the sample 101 is sandwiched; a current supply section 104 for supplying a current; a magnetic field generation section 105 for generating a magnetic field by inputting current; a displacement transmission section 106 for transmitting the displacement of the ultra magnetostriction element 100 to the sample-retaining section 102; an amount-of-displacement detection section 107 for detecting the amount of displacement in the sample-retaining section 102; a stress detection section 108 for detecting force operating on the sample-retaining section 103 from the sample 101 as a stress value; a current detecting section 109 for detecting the supplied current value; and a computer 20, having a control function of the amount of displacement of the ultra magnetostrictive element 100 and the measurement function of an index value, regarding the viscoelasticity of the sample 101.
