To dispense with maintenance caused by adhesion of a foreign substance into a suction valve or a discharge valve in a viscous fluid transfer pump.
In the viscous fluid transfer pump sucking grease from a suction valve 16 into a pump chamber 18 and discharging it from a discharge valve 17 by reciprocating motion of a plunger 13 changing the volume of the pump chamber 18, the suction valve 16 and the discharge valve 17 include: openings (suction inlet A16, discharge outlet A17) opening the pump chamber 18 to the outside; valve elements (plunger 13, valve element 23) moving so as to open and close the openings; and guide surfaces (18a, 18b) guiding the movement of the valve elements so that the valve elements may move while holding the closing states of the openings, respectively. The plunger 13 also serves as the valve element of the suction valve 16.
