Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a viscous heater capable of controlling calorific value with ease while improving carrying properties on a vehicle.
SOLUTION: A second movable member 115 forming the inner wall of a heat generation chamber 102 located at a position outside a heater shaft 104 in its radial direction is made to displace in the radial direction of the heater shaft 104, and air is also made to enter the heat generation chamber 102 together with viscous liquid. Through such operation, when the volume of the heat generation chamber 102 is expanded, since the air is expanded in the heat generation chamber 102, the rotation of a rotor 103 does not generate heat. On the other hand, when the volume is shrunk, the air gathers in an air chamber 403, and the heat generation chamber 102 is filled with viscous fluid, resulting in heat generation.
