Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adapt a vise quickly to workpieces of every shape for their working.
SOLUTION: The vise device comprises a U-shaped frame 1, a rod 3 passed coaxially through a pair of opposed elements 1a and 1b constituting the U-shaped frame 1 and supported for axial movement, an elastic element 5 for urging the rod 3 in an axial direction thereof, a cam 7 engaging the rod 3 in the U-shaped frame 1 to move the rod 3 in the direction opposite to the elastic urging direction, and mounting parts 1d for a base member formed in a bottom portion 1c of the U-shaped frame 1.
