Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a visible light-responsive photocatalyst coating film which can be formed without deteriorating the catalytic activity of the visible light-responsive photocatalyst and has high antibacterial activity under irradiation of visible light, and to provide a sterilization method using the visible light-responsive photocatalyst coating film.SOLUTION: The visible light-responsive photocatalyst coating film 10 is formed by applying a mixture, which contains fine particles of the visible light-responsive photocatalyst containing the titanium dioxide, in the crystal lattice of which one or more of a nitrogen atom, a carbon atom and a sulfur atom are doped, and fine particles of an antibacterial metal, to the surface of a base material 12 by using a high speed flame thermal spray method or a cold spray method. The visible light-responsive photocatalyst coating film can be used as an antibacterial coating film of a sanitary member or used in the sterilization method of a seed or the like.
