Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visible light source having high conversion efficiency.SOLUTION: The vicinity of a filament made of tungsten (W) is covered with a tube composed of a transparent substrate, for example, a silica tube 2 with respect to visible light and infrared light, and the outer surface of the silica tube 2 is covered with a transparent conductive layer 3 made of an indium tin oxide (ITO) or the like. At the end of the silica tube 2, a white scattering body (or a mirror) 4 is provided which totally reflects the visible light and the infrared light. The transparent conductive layer 3 is put in a non-energized state.
