PURPOSE: To always simply and easily obtain the latest visiting card information based on the discrimination code or the like entered on a visiting card without individually transcribing visiting card information obtained by card exchange by registering and changing visiting card information in a data base center by the visiting card owner side.

CONSTITUTION: A self identification code 1b and a magnetic card where the self identification code or the like is stored are issued from some data base center to a member who enters into the center. A visiting card based on a format is prepared by the self identification code, and a personal computer and a public line are used to transmit the self identification code 1b, company information, and individual information of individual address, individual family, or the like at need. The center side registers them in the data base after confirming whether the self identification code 1b is erroneous or not. Each time registered visiting card information and individual information such as the title and the company name of the member are changed after registration, one corrects them by the same method to always maintain the latest information.
