Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent any background serving as a hindrance against a pattern recognition from being reflected in, at the time of picking up a work, in a visual device for controlling the positioning of a conveyor robot or the like by means of visual feedback control.
CONSTITUTION: This is a visual device that has locked a background shielding plate 14 to a television camera so as to let it lee situated in the rear of a work 1 at the time of picking up this work 1 held by a robot chuck 11. This background shielding plate 14 is provided with a slit 14a making a portion of the robot chuck 11 pass through.
