To provide a visual field instrument for a mobile body which displays natural stereoscopic visual field information without tiring an operator or a driver even in an operational environment where a distance to a prescribed object is large and frequently changed, and image information of the correctly identified object.
The instrument includes: a pair of fixing cameras 12, 13 arranged at interocular interval; a mobile camera 14; an image display processing part 21 for processing the images of the two cameras; a stereo image processing part 22 for generating distance information; a detail image designating part 23 for designating an object to be monitored; a camera interval calculating part 24 for obtaining a camera interval to correctly pick-up a designated object; a camera driving device for moving the mobile camera 14; a detail image information generating part 25 for identifying the designated object, based on distance information obtained from image information by the pair of cameras including that by the mobile camera 14; and an image display device 3 for displaying the images of the fixing cameras 12, 13 and the image of the identified designated object by superimposition.
