A visual sense stimulation ECU 1 includes a stimulation applying part 15 for applying a subliminal stimulus ST1, of which the driver is not aware, to the visual sense of the driver by lighting an LED 31 provided in front of the driver for a short period of time P1, a necessity determination part 11 for determining whether or not the enlargement of the effective visual field of the driver is necessary, and a stimulus control part 14 for applying the subliminal stimulus ST1 repeatedly at a predetermined cycle P through the stimulation applying part 15 when the necessity determination part 11 determines that the enlargement of the effective visual field is necessary.
