Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the flexible voice system utilizing merits of both of a complete stereo and a pseudo stereo by adding outputs of delay gain giving parts of right and left channels to enphasize the correlation component and obtaining the difference between outputs of right and left giving parts to output it as additional information.
CONSTITUTION: A delay difference τL-τR between right and left voices is estimated from output voices YR (Z) and YL (Z) of left and right microphones 101-1, 101-2 to obtain position information LOCT of a speaker in a delay estimation part 108. Simultaneously, microphone array processing is performed where outputs YRD (Z) and YLD (Z) of delay gain giving parts 102-1 and 102-2 are added by an adder 103 to emphasize the correlation component and the output of an output echo canceller 107 of the adder 103 is subtracted by a subtractor 105 to eliminate the echo component. Second additional information Tsub (Z) is generated and sent besides execution of this pseudo stereo voice encoding processing. That is, the difference between outputs YRD (Z) and YLD (Z) of giving parts 102-1 and 102-2 is obtained by a subtractor 104, and an output Ysub (Z) is sent as second additional information Tsub (Z) through an echo eliminating part 113.
