Abstract:
PURPOSE: To correctly detect a voice range in an input voice even under the condition that environment noises with violent fluctuation exist at a high level.
CONSTITUTION: A voice range detection device that divides an input voice into frames of prescribed length and detects whether or not the frames are the voice ranges, is provided with a periodicity detection means 101 that detects a periodicity by analyzing an input voice, a voice range detection means 115 that detects a sound range based on power information of the input voice and a voice range decision means 116 that detects the voice range in accordance with a rule deciding the prescribed voice range and voiceless range from the present and past detection results of these two detection means 101 and 115.
