Abstract:
To comfortably perform reading by appropriately changing the reading characteristics corresponding to the liking of a user even when special data for voice reading setting are not integrated in the data of a voice reading object.
A category, to which a reading object document belongs, is discriminated (step S2), voice reading setting corresponding to the category of the discriminated result is applied to the reading object document (step S3), and voice reading is performed on the basis of reading object document data and voice reading setting corresponding to the reading object document (steps S4-S6).
