A dictionary storage part 16 of a voice recognition remote controller 2 is provided with dictionaries DIC1 to DICn for voice recognition for each hierarchical state of the electric equipment. When the electric equipment is operated by using the voice recognition remote controller 2, the dictionaries DIC1 to DICn for voice recognition are switched according to a hierarchical state signal inputted from an equipment controller 3 by using a dictionary switching part 17 to perform voice recognition by using the dictionary for voice recognition corresponding to the hierarchical state.
