PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice switch capable of surely discriminating the availability/unavailability of transmission from microphone picked up voice signals regardless of the magnitude and fluctuation of the level of echoes or residual echoes.
SOLUTION: The voice switch comprises: a TF conversion part for obtaining the short time spectrum of M channel reproduction signals reproduced from a speaker and the picked up voice signals; an echo component ratio estimation part for obtaining the ratio of echo components occupying the picked up voice signals for a microphone for each frequency band; a signal power calculation part for calculating non echo signal power from the echo component ratio for each frequency band, attaining a total sum, and obtaining the non echo signal power; a transmission discrimination part for comparing obtained non echo signal power signals with a threshold and discriminating the availability/unavailability of the transmission; and a variable attenuator for attenuating reception signals when it is discriminated that the transmission is not available and attenuating the picked up voice signals when it is decided that the transmission is available.
