Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate properly periods of a voice and voiceless and to prevent an overload of processing capacity even when a noise level is changed suddenly by removing a voiceless period from a compressed voice message with a parameter showing the voiceless period in the stored compressed voice message and recording it again.
SOLUTION: The stored compressed voice message is taken out by a module 100, and the parameters such as a noise threshold value level are calculated in the module 102 at voice signal levels of present, past and future. The voiceless or pause period is changed with this parameter in the module 104. The module 104 reduces an encoded voiceless period bit rate, and thus, a compression ratio of a voice message part containing only the voiceless period in increased, or the voiceless period is removed. Finally, the voice message of which voiceless period is compressed or removed is stored again in a memory 110 by the module 106. Further, the part excepting it of this voice message system is operated regularly.
