Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the specific linearity by connecting a varactor diode across an oscillation resonator circuit or an oscillation element in an oscillator employing the varactor diode to vary its oscillating frequency.

CONSTITUTION: When an input voltage to a frequency control voltage terminal 1 is changed while a varactor diode 3 is added to a crystal resonator 4, a reverse voltage to varactor diodes 2, 3 is changed, Furthermore, when a resistor and a capacitor 6 are selected by taking the oscillating frequency range and the oscillation characteristic being the requirements to a voltage controlled oscillator into account the voltage controlled oscillator with excellent linearity is obtained.
