Abstract:
PURPOSE: To detect a voltage having forward voltage rise rate higher than a predetermined value or a forward overvoltage, as well as forward and reverse voltages being applied on an optical thyristor, at a low cost.
CONSTITUTION: Forward and reverse voltages of an optical thyristor 1 are detected, respectively, through LEDs 7, 11 on the ground side and when the forward voltage rise rate of each optical thyristor 1 exceeds a predetermined value or when a forward overvoltage is applied thereon, a switching element 12 is closed to conduct the reverse voltage detecting LED 11 thus detecting the voltage of the optical thyristor.
