Abstract:

PURPOSE: To elevate the voltage generation efficiency at the time of double voltage generation by making the value of a reactor for earth sufficiently smaller than the value of a charging reactor, and making the value of an inverting reactor sufficiently smaller than the value of the reactor for earth.

CONSTITUTION: By the pulse of a gate pulse generator (not shown in the figure), a switch 21 for charge control is turned on, and capacitors 11 and 12 are charged from a charging power source 10. After the two capacitors 10 and 11 are charged to the voltage twice as high as the power source voltage, a high-speed switch 20 is turned on by the pulse from another gate pulse generator (not shown in the figure), and the voltage of the capacitor 11 is inverted. At this time, a saturable reactor 4 is saturated, and inductance decreases sharply, and this time charging is started for a peaking capacitor 13, from the series circuit of the capacitor 11 and the capacitor 12, and further a laser cap 5 discharges, thus laser output can be taken out.
