Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily determine the rated power consumption of a damping resistance, by externally displaying a duty factor calculating circuit which sums up totaling times during a predetermined period and calculates the duty factor of the damping resistance from the period and the totaling time, and the duty factor at the end of the period.
SOLUTION: In a voltage inverter device 20, the duty factor (X%:X=(Σt/T).100, where T is a predetermined time, and Σt is a totaling time) of a damping resistance 15 is calculated through a totaling circuit 21 and a duty factor calculating circuit. An alternating current motor 2 is operated in the order of start acceleration constant speed deceleration stop by repeating the output frequency of the voltage inverter device. In decelerating state, when the voltage across a smoothing capacitor 12 is increased by regenerative power from the alternating current motor 2 and exceeds the judgment level of a voltage detecting circuit 17, a transistor 16 is turned on by output from the voltage detecting circuit 17. As a result, part of the regenerative power is consumed through the damping resistance 15 to prevent increase in voltage at the smoothing capacitor 12. Thus the period can be set through operation of an operation panel 23. In addition, the operation of a load 3 on the alternating current motor 2 can be visually checked, and setting can be made by giving starting and ending commands.
