Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a volume reducing machine and volume reducing method which can reduce a volume of a container at a high volume reduction rate.SOLUTION: A volume reducing machine 1 includes: a casing 2 having an input port 7a for receiving a container; and a compression mechanism 21 which is arranged in the casing 2 and reduces a volume of the container input from the input port 7a. The compression mechanism 21 includes a first compression member 41, a second compression member 42 which compresses and reduces a volume of the container together with the first compression member 41 by making a relative position to the first compression member 41 closer, and a compression control part 31 which controls movement of the first compression member 41 and second compression member 42 so as to maintain in positions, by which the volume of the container can be reduced, for a certain period after the first compression member 41 and the second compression member 42 come close to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
