Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent cut pieces from being scattered by bringing rollers provided with a covered layer made of the material whose friction with a work is larger than that of the metal on their outer circumferential surface close to each other so as not to be brought into contact with each other.
SOLUTION: A covered layer made of the material whose friction with a work 9 is larger than that of the metal is formed on an outer circumferential surface of a roller 8. The roller 8 is bearing-supported and rotated at each side of its shaft by a fixed frame 5 and a turnable frame 7. The clearance of each roller 8 can be narrow so as not to be brought into contact with each other. Because cut waste paper itself or its broken piece is not projected outside a volume reducing chamber 11, the cut pieces are prevented from being scattered inside/outside the volume reducing chamber 11. Because the work 9 does not slide in an idling manner to the roller 8 due to the friction of the covered layer of the roller 8, and smoothly formed into a roll and surely rotated, the cut work 9 can be efficiently inserted.
