Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable a user to deliver fluid from an ampule by delivering the fluid through an opening by a piston to push out the fluid from a vessel. CONSTITUTION: A positive displacement ampule 10 is provided with a slender vessel 12 inside which fluid is housed and has on one end a large diameter base part 19 joined to a small diameter stem 14 existing on the other end, a piston 18 arranged in the vessel 12 in an end part of the base part 19 to push out the fluid from the vessel 12 and a push rod 42 to push the piston 18 by tearing the end part of the base part 19 of the vessel 12 so as to deliver the fluid from the vessel 12 after the stem 14 is torn. First of all, the slender vessel 12 in which an end part of the stem 14 is opened and the end part of the base part 19 is closed is manufactured, and a water wetting monomer liquid is injected into the vessel 12 through the opening stem 14, and is polymerized so as to be converted into a solid (to function as a piston). Next, the fluid is injected into the vessel 12 through the opening stem 14 so as to maintain the fluid between the piston 18 and the stem 14, and the end part of the stem 14 is sealed.
