This volumetric weighing machine calculates the volume of the subject of measurement A from its measurement start position A1 to its measurement end position A2 by putting the subject of measurement A in a liquid in a tank 1, measuring the distance by which the level of the liquid has risen from a reference level when the measurement starting position A1 is put in the liquid to a level at which the measurement end position A2 has been immersed, measuring the distance from the measurement start position A1 to the position of the surface of the liquid in synchronism with the measurement, storing in sequence the rises of the level associated with the amounts of immersion of the subject of measurement A, in accordance with these measurements, and computing the sum of the read rises of the level from the measurement start position A1 to the measurement end position A2 of the subject of measurement A.
