PURPOSE: To facilitate carrying by forming a handle in a silencer casing while increasing its volume to obtain an excellent silencing effect by forming the silencer casing into constitution having a riseup part and a swollen part.
CONSTITUTION: A vortex flow blower has a casing constituted by integrally connecting a blower casing 3 serving as an impeller casing, motor housing and a silencer casing 5. Here, a partition 5a in a peripheral surface of the silencer casing 5 is formed into a box shape having a predetermined width 1 in a base surface 5e under the partition 5a, to form a riseup part 5b rising from the inside toward a part having a maximum width L(L>1) of the blower casing 3. A swollen part 5c, swollen to the outer so as to continue to the riseup part 5b along a peripheral surface of an electric motor, is formed in the partition 5a. Accordingly, even when dimension of a mounting leg 5d is formed equal to the maximum diametric dimension L of the blower casing 3, tightening work of bolts and nuts can be performed by inserting a hand to a part of this mounting leg.
