To provide a general-purpose vortex blower used for blowing, particularly, a suitably usable vortex blower emphasized on lowering noise and improving efficiency.
This vortex blower comprises a blower part 2 composed of the combination of an impeller 4 and a casing 8. A partition wall 14 for dividing an intake port 10 communicating with a pressurizing passage 9 from a discharge port 1 is formed in the casing 8. The blade 5 of the impeller 4 and a carryover suppressor 15 provided on the partition wall 14 of the casing 8 minimize the volume of the space with the blade 5 of the impeller 4. According to the rotation of the impeller 4, gas with a pressure difference located in the vicinity of the discharge port 11 of the casing 8 reduces the carryover quantity of gas running into the intake port 10 over the partition wall 14 of the casing 8, and the lower noise and higher efficiency of the vortex blower can be attained.
