To provide a vortex blower facilitating outflow of air flows from the distal ends of blades.

The vortex blower includes an impeller which has a casing provided with a pressure chamber on a lateral side of an annular flow passage centered on an axis and the blades extending radially around the center of the axis and rotates about the axis, and through rotation of the impeller, lets air flow out from the blades into the pressure chamber, sucks the air from a suction port communicating with the annular flow passage and discharges the air from a discharge port communicating with the annular flow passage. In the vortex blower, the rear face 4B of the blade extending from the trailing edge 4SB of the blade 4 facing the pressure chamber includes: a base end rear face formed so that the inflow angle of air flowing in a cylindrical plane centered on the axis and passing the trailing edge base end of the blade 4 becomes an acute angle; a distal end rear face formed so that the outflow angle of air flowing out in a cylindrical plane centered on the axis and passing the trailing edge distal end of the blade 4 becomes an acute angle or a right angle; and a continuous face extending from the base end rear face to the distal end rear face.
