Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that properly reduces a pressure difference between a motor part and a pump part in a vortex pump.SOLUTION: A vortex pump 10 includes a motor part 20 and a pump part 50. The pump part 50 includes an impeller 54 which integrally rotates with an output shaft 30 of a motor 22. The motor part 20 and the pump part 50 are separated by a separation wall 52c. A blade groove area including a blade groove 54b is provided on a surface of the impeller 54 which faces the separation wall 52c. The separation wall 52c includes an opposite groove 52e opposing the blade groove area and extending in an impeller 54 rotation direction. A communication hole 40 allowing communication between the motor part 20 and the pump part 50 is provided at the opposite groove 52e. The communication hole 40 extends in a direction along flow of swirl flow formed by the blade groove 54b and the opposite groove 52e when the vortex pump 10 is driven.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
