Abstract:
PURPOSE:To record even an HDTV signal of a different format in common by executing the time division multiplexing of a luminance signal and a chrominance signal, simultaneously prescribing a sample number per one horizontal scanning line and the number of a horizontal scanning line per one frame and recording the HDTV signal. CONSTITUTION:The sample number per one horizontal scanning line of the luminance signal and the chrominance signal is prescribed (1,320/330 samples) and the time base of the sampled luminance signal and the chrominance signal is expanded and contracted (line memories 3A, 3B, 6r and 6b). Besides, the time division multiplexing thereof is executed (adders 10A and 10B) and the sample number per one horizontal scanning line of the multiplexed signal is prescribed (1,500 samples) at the same time. Then, the recording is executed in a recording format(a frame memory 11) that the number of the horizontal scanning line per one frame is prescribed (1,332 lines) more than the horizontal scanning line per each one frame of plural different formats. By executing the time division multiplexing of the luminance signal and the chrominance signal in such a way and selecting the parameter at that time, the HDTV signal of the different format is recorded by simple constitution.
