To provide a vulcanization accelerator which is derived from a natural fat and oil, is useful as an accelerator for a diene rubber, yields a vulcanizate having physical properties superior to those given by a conventionally used natural-substance-derived accelerator and also superior to those given by a vulcanization accelerator on the market; and a rubber composition containing the vulcanization accelerator.

The rubber composition is prepared by compounding 100 pts.wt. natural rubber and/or synthetic rubber with 1-10 pts.wt. vulcanization accelerator represented by chemical formula 1, chemical formula 2, or the like. In the formulas, n is an integer of 8-25; and X is hydrogen, chlorine, or a 1-4C alkyl.
