To provide a method for the vulcanization of a tire wherein the profiling of a tire can be performed satisfactorily in an early stage of the vulcanization, and in a later stage of the vulcanization, even though a rigid core is thermally expanded, no rigid core and no mechanical part of a vulcanizer or the like is broken, by suppressing the change in a cavity pressure within a predetermined range, in a vulcanization method of vulcanizing a tire in a cavity surrounded by a rigid core for specifying the inside surface of the tire and a mold for specifying the outer surface by a plurality of mold elements which are taken apart or closed mutually.
In the method, a cavity volume changing with the progress of vulcanization and a cavity pressure depending on the volume of the tire are regulated so as to fulfill given conditions by adjusting a clearance between adjoining mold components.
