This projector is equipped with a storage part which stores the warm-up set time of the light source lamp that the projector is equipped with, a timer which clocks the warm-up elapsed time of the light source lamp, a wait time detection part which detects the warm-up time by subtracting the warm-up elapsed time clocked by the timer from the warm-up set time stored in the storage part, and a time display part which displays information showing the detected warm-up time.
