It is a waiting method of the image recorder 1 and continuous medium which make the image recorder 1 to be stopped after cutting the medium part in the cutter mechanism part 4 wherein the picture was recorded on the continuous medium and delivering it, and also after conveying the nose edge of a picture-unrecorded part with leaving the continuous medium, following the cut continuous medium, remaining uncut into the conveyance route for delivery, and makes the image recorder 1 and continuous medium wait in the state of making the nose edge wait in the conveyance route for delivery or of grasping the nose edge.
