When power sources 35 which are arranged at the front and rear sides of a device body 2 are driven, at least two rotating bodies 75, 61 and 45 which are provided on the right and the left and the device body 2 rotate, and by the rotations, leg sections 107, 106 and 105 which are attached to insertion holes provided under a tilted state at eccentric locations of respective rotating bodies 75, 61 and 45 are rotated, and the tip end sections 127, 126 and 125 of respective leg sections 107, 106 and 105 are greatly rotated in the vertical direction. At this time, respective tip end sections 127, 126 and 125 alternately touch the walking surface at least by two legs at one time and work in a manner to push out the device body 2 backward, and thus, a walking state is obtained. Also, at this time, one remaining leg is rotated forward in the advancing direction in the preparation for a next grounding motion.
