To provide a device for evaluating walking ability using an index that is easy for a user to understand.SOLUTION: A walking evaluation device 2 comprises: walking data acquisition means 221 for acquiring a plurality of pieces of walking data from a subject; walking index calculation means 222 for calculating a plurality of walking indices associated with the subject's walking state from the walking data; walking index score calculation means 223 for calculating a walking index score corresponding to each of the walking indices on the basis of previously stored storage walking data 231 on a plurality of sample persons; sub score calculation means 224 for calculating, on the basis of the storage walking data 231 and from walking index scores belonging to a plurality of classified associated groups, the subject's sub score for each associated group; and walking score calculation means 225 for calculating the subject's walking score on the basis of the subject's sub score calculated for each associated group.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
