This walking machine consists of a body part 202 and leg parts 311-313, 311-313 respectively mounted at left and right sides of the body part 202 at least two by two. The body part consists of a base frame 203, a pair of leg mounting frames 230, 230 rotatably mounted at both sides of the base frame, and fixing means 257 for fixing a pair of leg mounting frames to the base frame 203. The leg mounting frames 230 are provided with power sources 260. The leg parts 311-313 are rotated about an axis by the power sources 260 of the leg mounting frames 203. The leg parts 311-313 are bendable, and keep their bent state. Whereby an inclination angle of leg parts and a height of the body part from a walking surface can be arbitrarily changed, and the walking configuration can be varied corresponding to the irregularity of the walking surface and a walking animal to be copied.
