PURPOSE: To provide the walking stick for a physically handicapped person which can be used easily by solving such a difficult point that a side holding part must be inserted and held firmly between the upper arm and the body under the arm at the time of walking.

CONSTITUTION: In a walking auxiliary stick provided with a side holing part 2, a grounding part 3, and a grip part 4 at the upper end of a walking stick main body 1, the lower end, and the middle part, respectively, the grip part 4 is put to the side of the outside of the body apart from an axis of the walking stick main body extending from the side holding part 2 to the grounding part 3, or a grip axis of the grip part 4 is inclined and attached downward a little to the front of walking, an abutting part 4a of the palm of the grip part 4 is formed to be flat and thicker than an abutting part 4b of the thumb, and the grip part 4 is attached movably forward and backward. Also, in the side holding part 2, the upper arm contact part 5 having a wide contact face against the inside surface of the upper arm is provided, and the side holding part 2 is attached rotatably in the roughly horizontal plane around the axis of the walking stick main body 1, and attached to the walking stick main body at the angle that the curved surface along the upper arm of the side holding part 2 is inclined obliquely backward to the axis of the walking stick main body 1.
