A walking stick with a phonation function 1 includes a main body of the walking stick having a phonetic functional circuit 5 built-in which is electrically connected to a main switch 3 and a speaker 4 connected to a battery 11 when the switch 3 is on to emit a voice to the surroundings, wherein the phonetic functional circuit 5 is electrically connected to a voice memory unit 5c in which two or more standard messages are stored, selection switches S1-S5 which select a standard message stored in the voice memory unit 5c by an operation from outside, a controlling unit 5b which selectively reads out the standard message from the voice memory unit 5c when the selection switch is on and a voice reproduction unit 5d to reproduce the voice based on a transmitted signal corresponding to standard message transmitted from the controlling unit 5b so that the voice signal transmitted from the voice reproduction unit 5d is emitted by the speaker 4.
