Abstract:
To provide a walking support system that when a visually impaired person walks on a guide block, prevents a person around the visually impaired person from disturbing the walking.SOLUTION: A walking supporting system is constituted by: a stick comprising electromagnetic wave generation means for generating an electromagnetic wave; and a plurality of guide blocks comprising an electromagnetic wave sensor for detecting the electromagnetic wave and an emitter for emitting visible light. The walking supporting system identifies a direction of travel of the stick on the basis of positional relation between a first guide block having an electromagnetic wave sensor that detects the electromagnetic wave and a second guide block that detects the electromagnetic wave after the first guide block; and lights up the emitter in a first state on the basis of the identified direction of travel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
